Hi,

When decking a flat roof or overboarding ready for a new membrane do people tape the joints?? If so what tape is used?

The membrane that was going to be used it EPDM?, I'm just a bit worried that where the boards meet and there is a joint then the EPDM may come unstuck.

No real need to tape the joints, bearing in mind of course that the long joints of the deck should be over the joists it would take a lot of movement to cause an issue.

Sorry just read this, yes like he says no need to tape the joints just blob em full of glue mate.

As long as you wait for the glue to go tacky before laying and try to pull the rubber tight when you lay using a broom to flatten it all out then should be fine. Try and do it on a nice warm day.
