Hello,

I have a Potterton Puma 80e boiler that up until last night was working fine. Hot water from tap became intermittent then nothing at all. However the boiler was still running even though there was no demand for hot water. I then switched the boiler off at the mains and I could hear water gushing through it even though no tap was on. I have now turned the water of at the mains as well. Anyone got any ideas what is going on?

usual fault ive found on these apart from pcb burning out is if theres a leak on the domestic hw somewhere in system it gives poor heating keeping the wax capsule cold. also the cw/hw pressure switch sticks and keeps the boiler in dhw mode and usually overheats and goes off ;)

hope that a help
