Taps off but boiler on

Hi guys


random thing ive been noticing for few months

I have mains eco lite boiler.

every now and then i see the tap light flashing and boiler on. I went round whole house and all taps are closed. Believe it only turns on for bit but is this normal?

Might have a preheat function, my Bosch has one it keeps the machine warm for quicker heat up when water required, there is an Eco function that turns it off.

your boiler has a pre-heat feature and when this is activated the HW tap display will flash if you want to turn this off turn the HW temp dial fully anticlock wise and the boiler will work as a standard combi and produce hot water at 50 degrees C

I was called under the warranty to a boiler which was showing a tap on symbol when all taps were off.

Asked the owner if there were any leaks. She said no!

When I arrived this fellow was taking up the floorboards to investigate dampness!

What an idiot she was!
