Hi all
We have a BT phone with a built in digital answering machine. The answering machine bit was fine until we got broadband, and now, with the two filters plugged into the telephone sockets, any messages left on the answering machine are so badly distorted that they are indecipherable. If I plug the phone directly into the telephone socket and unplug the filter connected to our router, the answering machine is fine again. So the problem seems to lie with the filters - they are the ones supplied by BT with the router. I can't imagine that both filters are faulty, but I would buy new ones if I thought this would solve the problem. But are there any telephone experts here who could advise me please? Thanks very much. All suggestions are very welcome!
