Hi - can anyone help please?

I have a mains pressure electric hot water cylinder. Today have no hot water at all - no issues with the pressure, it's just cold. I've tried to follow the manufacturer's guide and have, I think re-set the upper limit cut out switch in the immersion heater, but I can't get anywhere. I think it's beyond me to fix it - who should I be asking to come out? Is it an electrical engineer's issue or a plumbing thing? Will it be covered by services offered by eg British Gas (even though not gas) or Eon? Is it likely to take ages to fix?

Sorry this is probably very straightforward but have no idea what to do next!

have you checked any of the fuses on the immersion element supply ?

No - I honestly wouldn't know where to start. Does that sound like it might be the problem i.e that an electician could fix?
