Hi
I have a Honeywell ST6100A connected to my valiant combi boiler. As it has limited controls I want to replace it with something having a wireless thermostat which has controls for setting temperature and timings.

Please can someone suggest a suitable wireless thermostat which can easily replace the Honeywell ST6100A?

Thanks
Krish

The ST6100A is a programmer which only provides on / off time control for a central heating system. It is not actually a thermostat. If you have one, the thermostat is a separate device where you select the required room temperature.

As the ST6100A is mains powered, you can replace it with any smart thermostat that has a receiver and separate wireless thermostat. If you choose one you like the look of and that has the features you require, post back for advice on how to install it. If you do have an existing room thermostat separate from the ST6100A you should provide details of it, because this will have an impact on what you need to do to install a new smart thermostat.

Thank you very much. No, I do not have a room thermostat, there is just the ST6100A connected to the boiler.

I am thinking of getting either Honeywell CM927 or Salus RT310RF. My boiler is vaillant ecomax. Do you know if either of these wireless thermostats are compatible with my boiler? Also do I need to remove the existing RT6100A backplate for fitting either of these? This will help immensely as I would go for whichever is easier to replace the existing one.

thanks again.

Thanks
Krish

Either of those would be a suitable replacement for the ST6100A. For me the Honeywell CM927 would be a good choice. Some posters aren't overly impressed with Salus products, although my personal experience with them isn't too bad. Salus tend to offer budget products and, as with most things, you get what you pay for.

Thanks again, I will try the Honeywell CM927 and post back. Cheers
