I have a MAIN HE A Condensing boiler and my hot water & heating system was:
I replaced the Honeywell system with the Tado smart system. I am in the process of selling my house and I therefore want to remove the Tado smart system and re-install the Honeywell system. However, the Honeywell HCW80 room thermostat is faulty. I was looking on Google and Chatgbt and it appears the most economical solution is to replace the Honeywell HCW80 thermostat and HC60NG receiver with a Salus RT510RF+ wireless room thermostat. It states that the heating schedule/programming moves to the Salus thermostat itself but the Honeywell ST9400C would need to be installed to control the hot water timing only. The heating on the ST9400C would need to be kept to CONSTANT or permanently ON,
I do not want to spend ££ as I am in the process of selling so I just want to ensure I leave the house with a functioning hot water & heating system. The Salus RT510RF+ wireless room thermostat costs £40 on Amazon. The Honeywell HCW80 thermostat is obsolete. There are a couple on sale on eBay but I’m doubting if they are fully operational.
Does getting the RT510RF+ wireless room thermostat to replace the HCW80 seem the best approach? If so, can someone please advise on the wiring setup of the Salus RT510RF+ wireless room thermostat & receiver, and the Honeywell ST9400C programmer? Also, how do I ensure the ST9400C is kept to CONSTANT?
- Honeywell programmer ST9400C
- Honeywell HCW80 Wireless Room Thermostat with relay module (Honeywell Receiver) HC60NG
