hi,
I want to install a thermostatic mixer shower on a gravity fed system, can I just tee off the hot and cold water pipes off the bath and run them up to the shower. with it being upstairs and the shower head being above the level of hot water in the tank will i have negative head and therefore it not be feesible, would i have to run hot pipe from loft and down to the unit to get enough flow?
Does this only make sense to me?

Only two things matter

1. The height difference between your shower and the feeder tank (head of water)
2. The length and diameter of pipework between the two.

Enough head, it will work. Suck and see
