... I've got the Jeremy Vine show on in the background. No, that's not the funny part ;) Ann Widdecombe is on as a guest.

They're discussing doctors pay. An ex doctor (left to get a different better paid job) phoned in.

After making his point he said 'can I say something to Ann?'

Jeremy said 'yes, but you're not going to say anything rude are you, cause I can feel you're maybe going to be rude.'

Ann said 'he can be rude to me if he likes.'

The caller then said 'I'm just wondering if she's going to get her (.) (.) out for the lads?'

That is rather amusing, I think all the more so that it came from a Doctor.

I was reading some reviews earlier on Drs and their surgerys with the services and standards that they provide. A chap gave a review of his Drs surgery where the Dr had saved his life, he rated it 4 out of 5 stars. The doctor replied with " I just don't know how I could ever reach. that 5th star".

What was her reply?
It was just quite a funny scene overall. I think she just kind of went 'ah' (it'll be water off a ducks back to her I suspect) and Jeremy kind of sighed and did the obligatory apology to viewers.

I remember reading in his biography that Danny Baker complained about the standard of food in a particular hospital but then added 'I suppose I should be grateful to them for curing me of cancer though’.
