I'm joining laminate to vinyl and have not found a suitable threshold strip in the big stores, they all seem too tall. Other than just gluing a strip in place (and risking it cracking in the future) Is there something like the carpet finishing strip but for laminate?

Thanks

You need a laminate reducer profile if the lower vinyl surface is approximately at the same level as the subfloor under the laminate.

The supplier of the laminate should provide one with the range, or most diy shops should sell them, alternatively go to your local independant flooring shop and ask if they have any, most shops will have a stash somewhere left over from installation jobs. It's a basic profile that all laminate ranges should have to compliment the fitting of their product. If the product does not come with a reducer as part of it's ranging, i'd be very concerned at the quality of said floor!
