So my tiles have turned up. 200x300mm ceramic wall tiles and 333x333mm ceramic floor tiles both from Nicobond.

The wall tiles will be fixed on newly installed gyproc moisture resistant plasterboard and painted plasterboard that I plan to sand to provide a key.
  • Tape gaps between boards and fill in with joint compound
    Apply BAL WP1 waterproofer
Purchase BAL Single Part Flexible adhesive for wall & floor tiles.
Purchase BAL Microflex (Ivory Colour) grout for walls.
Purchase BAL Microflex Wide Joint (Cocoa colour) grout for floor
Is this sound?

It's my first time but it's my own bathroom so I want to use good materials.

Also BAL's website says that I should use a solid bed trowel instead of a notched bed one for applying adhesive in the bathroom. Is this right?

Cheers!

All sounds fine,if you use a 6mm notch on the walls then when you press tiles into place the adhesvie will flatten out and should pretty much give a solid bed.

use a rough paper on the painted plaster curium, need a good key on that.

what surface are you laying onto (floor)? you dont mention that?
