Hi there

Looking for some specific advice after looking at various posts on here.

I had a prob with condensation in loft during the winter.

I have arranged for a roofer to come in and fit tile vents. He is proposing fitting 3 on both slopes of the roof. 2 at the top and one at the bottom.

He said that the vents don't need to be near the top of the house but from reading on here I think they may need to be near the top.

Does anyone know where the vents should be inserted?

My house is around 26 feet long and has soffit vents the full length of the house. All insulation has been taken away from the eaves. There is not alot of draught in the loft. The soffit vents side below the ceiling height of the top floor and therefore have slightly coombed ceilings.

Thanks for any advice.

sorry, meant to add that I have plasterboard lined roof. The roofer is going to put in vents which extend into the loft past the plasterboard.

Would these be necessary?

thanks again
