Hi
I am going to be fitting a Matki Illusion cubicle & tray and will have ufh on the floor.
A simple question, If i fit the tray first (which is 95 mm high) Is it considered good practice and is it ok to fit the following afterwards.

6mm Adhesive
10mm Marmox
6mm Ufh encased in SLC
8mm Adhesive
10mm Tile

Total 40mm

I’d lay the Marmox boards first, fit the tray, UFH & then tile up to it. I assume your still laying this lot over a new screed?

Personally I think electric UFH is a waste of time/money as a secondary heat source & can be expensive to run.

Hi

Thanks for the reply
Yes, I am laying the 'stack' over new screed.
I appreciate your comments re UFH but we have it a a secondary heat source in the kitchen and find that it works very well. Takes the chill out of the tiles and is not on for that long at a time as far as running costs are concerned.
Thanks Again
