ive just removed the tile in my bathroom and exposed a fair amount of brick, if i remove the rest of the plaster can i dot and daqb plasterboard on then tile ontop of the plasterboard?
I may be wrong but i dont think you can fix aquapanel with board adhesive it needs to be screwed directly to batons or brickwork (chec with supplier or manufacturer ) best long term solution is to :
remove all plaster
pva walls
dot and dab with 12.5mm plasterboards
use tanking kit in shower area (speak to tile supplier)
prime (not pva) bare plasterboards (" " " )
tile directly over plasterboards and tanked areas
probably not cheapest way but is best way
if you do use aquapanel or simmaller check manufacturers instructions for cutting, as there might be some nasties in there thats why i dont use it
