Hi i have just removed a bath and now intend to replace it with a shower and tile from the tray to ceiling. The problem is that below where the bath was is now exposed brick.I have spoken to a tiler /plumber who i use and he recommends using pva on to the brick followed by a bonding coat of plaster.Leave for a day and then tile.Is this the way to go or should i use a one coat plaster?.I need to get the job done asap so the quickest solution would be best.

I would not normally tile on to a basecoat plaster and would not tile on to a plaster surface that still had moisture in it!

Could it be boarded out, if your in a hurry to tile?
