Hello all, after recently building a new block work bathroom wall, I now need to tile the entire wall.

What is the best option?

Would tile grout stick to sand and cement render? Is there another product I can put on that I can grout straight to, without having skim that would be more suitable? IE wickes one coat or something.

Much appreciated

You can stick tiles to cement render, the walls will need to free of dust/dirt/grease and in good sound condition.
The wall will need sealing with PVA.
and your fix the tiles with tile adheshive not grout that's for the joints. Don't buy an all in one, adhesive and grout, usually shyte.
You could also put muliti finsh coat on it, this does not need to be polished off, as the roughness will make a good key for adhesive.
