whats in grout?

Anyone know what your typical floor tile grout is made of?
I' had some leftover sandstone grout, great colour and want to render an internal breeze wall with it, test patches worked a treat but is obviously too expensive for this.

I tried to make it with fine plasterers sand, light cement +yellow dye, but whatever I do i cant get the right tone. grout seems to be made of ultrafine sand and cement without any hint of grey. Is it possible to make this stuff?
