time switch

hi all, daughter moved in new house and dad cant work out the settings on the boiler

its a vaillant boiler ( no model numbers seen ) its a time switch 110 it looks simple its like the electrical time switches you can buy
there is a switch below with 3 symbols one circle which looks like day/night one which looks like a sun and one showing clock hands

ive tried different settings and moved the "teeth" on the timer but still dont seem to turn heating off ! so just switching it on/manually helpers please cheers P M

hi again, I sussed out the simple instructions, but the time switch dont seem to move around, set the switch to timer ( clock symbol ) time to 0530 but it still showing same time ! would you suggest a phone call to the landlord ? cheers P M

Yes, give the landlord a call. Once the clock is set, it should keep the correct time regardless of the switch settings. It sounds like its motor has failed.
