Couple of links for ya WDIK...

This is the Number 10 answer from the link below:

10. The hour hand has become loose and is constantly pointing at 6! This is a common problem and is very common on cuckoo clocks, however the fix is simple. The hour hands are held in place on a friction fit bushing to the hour pipe, so just push the hour hand in place and then move it to indicate the correct hour. On an English or Scottish grandfather clock this is not the case. Mostly the hour hand is screwed into place. If you have this problem and own an English and Scottish Grandfather clock then you should call a clock repair specialist.

If that's no good, here's some others:

We have a few antique clocks. One of the Bracket Clocks has a 'Wedge or Shim' inserted into the shaft that rotates the hands. It's there to take up any slack in the 'fit' of the hands onto the shaft. So that might be something to look into. Is there a small piece of metal lying in the case below the hands? Here's a photo of mine to show you.

The small 'Shim or Pin' that goes through the Shaft at the end is what keeps the hands in place on this particular bracket clock. It can work loose due to vibration etc. But its obviously a simple process of reinserting it and nipping it up.

Anyway, hope it helps mate.

Get a plastic plastic clock from IKEA for a couple of quid and glue it over the face of your cuckoo clock ;)
