if you have a partioned hard drive, or a second hard drive, you may find it usefull (or useless) to change your email store folder to a drive other than C.
the idea being if you format C, when you reinstall you can change store folder back to where you had it, and all email info will be there.
in OE it is as follows
tools>options>maintenance>store folder
