I've got one of those chrome bottle traps and I want to unscrew the base. It's not one you can grab with your hand but it has a big slot in it, like the kind designed to use with a coin but a lot bigger. I can't get any purchase on in with any coin as the slot is so big. Anyone got any smart tips for unscrewing it easily?

A cold chisel. These often have a hexagonal shaft as well so you can get a spanner onto it.
