Hi all.
We just moved into a new house and the old gloworm boiler is shot. So I've started looking for a replacement.
We used to have a vaillant 831 in the old house and it was perfect. The new house is a little bigger:3 beds, 1 family bathroom, 1 cloakroom and one day we will add an ensuite too.

The water pressure here seems good. I get 6.5 bar static pressure dropping to around 3 bar dynamic pressure. Flow rate is around 18l per minute but the dynamic flow rate drops to around 11l per minute.

My simple question is is this good enough for a combi boiler? Looking at the vaillant ecotec 937.

Any help appreciated.

Combi is enough, but your planning an extension an unvented system is ideal. It cost you bit more but at the end of the day you have lovely hot and cold water distribution wonderful
