toilet flash

[ETAF]

my son has just moved into a flat and the toilet has one of these split push buttons on the top of the cistern
one half does not move and the other half pops out of the socket
I tried to lift the lid off the cistern to replace the mechanism - but the top would not move

how do you get the top off ?

Your search links could be with being a bit more specific!


Lift the buttons out of the top of the cistern and you should find a screw under them - undo and this should release the cistern lid - don't force the lid off or you'll break the flushvalve
