hi
I just noticed there is a "scar" on the inlet pipe of my toilet cistern. I cannot tell if it is just paint missing or some surface metal is worn out. Does anyone know how thick is the metal wall of this kind of pipe and would this defect cause any leaking in future? Thanks.

thanks for your reply. I mean the big black spot in the picture. what is a "stop"? Apologies for my ignorance.

I mean the big black spot in the picture.

Looks like just a chip in the paint, but hard to tell from that photo.
Sometimes pipes get bashed at that level while hoovering etc.
Copper is probably 0.7 to 1 mm thick, I think.
