I've just ventured into the cistern (after the wife got annoyed when the cistern refilled whilst she was in the shower...he he) and found the water level is a good 1/2 -3/4" below the top of the internal overflow. So I unclipped the flush mechanism and found a load of crud around the tapered seal at the bottom.Gave it a quick rub but still looks a bit dirty. I have only just done it and I think I just heard the bloody thing do it again so I'm going to strip it and clean both the seal and the seat when I get chance (probably the weekend now)

ps.....Took my net name from the historic Epic of Gilgamesh and not the restaurant in Camden (although it does look quiet nice on the web site, might go next time I'm working in the big smoke).
