Hi there.

I have an old Purple Dudley Turbo 44 Syphon in my toilet, I know these are obsolete and have been replaced with the orange Turbo 44 Syphon.

Am I able to fit either a Turbo 44 or Turbo 88 syphon to my existing down pipe in the cistern. My old Purple 44 Syphon has the yellow plug to remove it from the downpipe without draining the system.

I'm just unsure what is best to do, hopefully to leave the down pipe in place.

Thanks in advance

The 88 definitely won't fit onto the 44 stem.

It might be a dumb question but why do you need to replace the purple 44?

The point of the two part siphon is to allow for the membrane to be replaced easily. If you can't obtain a replacement membrane then cut one from heavy gauge polythene using either the old membrane or the platform as a pattern.
