Hello,
The circuit is Sockets down 2.5/1.5 cable 8 points served (No ring) 15 A Bs 3036.
How can this problem be solved and rectified?

For sockets up again no ring 30 A BS 3036 2.5/1.5 3 points served it says too large protective device for cable size. How can this be solved and rectified?

Thanks in advance.

I take it you have just had a PIR done? Why don't you ask the spark who carried out the test how much it will cost for him to do all the remedial work?

In the first case, that is fine - fuse is suitable for the cable size and 8 sockets isn't exactly an issue unless they are all heavily loaded.

In the second instance, either replace the fuse with a smaller one (15A) or create a ring circuit.

15A would be better because you won't find 20A BS3036 fuse wire unless you buy a spool.

Read my other responses regarding your posts, I think you need a rewire rather than a series of touch-ups.
