Toplite blocks

Hi All

Hope everyone safe and well. I using Toplite blocks to create some small walls in the garden. Was looking at tiling them or can a make up a cement slurry to coat them and then paint it. Or would it have to be a proper render coating. Any thoughts.

cement render is not a good idea on toplite block . you’d need to use something as soft and flexible as the block itself.

Cheers Benny. Did try for dense blocks but stock levels and delivery was far too long with wanting to use the good weather. Think i'll have a nosy at the K-Rend range to see if anything suitable.
