A character reference, written on behalf of an accused person by some old men who are his buddies, is worthless.

What are they going to say? "He's a decent chap and never assaulted me?"

You might as well write on behalf of a bank robber "he's never forced his way into my house and robbed me."

Or on behalf of a murderer "in all the years I've known him, I've never been murdered by this good fellow."

Can they seriously think that because he never attacked them, he's never attacked anyone else? Or that it is a convincing argument?

Or even that, because he is their mate, he should be treated more leniently, or more harshly, than other criminals?
 
Tory Mps trying to influence the a Judge - RWR are very quiet. Some fb post or Meghan ate some avocado and they erupt like Mount Vesuvius. Bigots.
