Hi,
I have a Toyota Corolla, and the screen has turned white with a keyboard and the question enter security lock code.

I've contacted The dealer where i bought it, my 2x local dealers plus a random one, including Tech support online. Nobody knows much about this and how it can be solved.
I've booked it in to my local dealer, but it may be there all day. This isn't good, for just adding in a number.
Has anyone got a better idea please?
Cheers, C.

Not the way I read it - it needs model, year, and the VIN. It then offers up the code you need.
Hi H,
At the entry, there's a choice Model and year or VIN. I put both, but once the VIN is added the model and year disappear, my logic is as it's and OR, the model and year wouldn't point to my particular vehicle.
Thanks for trying.

Have you tried turning your car off and on again?
Hi R,
:giggle:
Actually I was away for a month and I think that there could be a holding charge for the screen that ran down, and caused the error, so it was turned off, and when I started it it was turned on, with this result.

Hi,
If anyone has a Toyota corrola, would they try H's links and see if they can see any personal codes, please.

Try disconnecting the battery, remove both battery leads, hold them together for 19 seconds to completely discharge the electrics, reconnect battery and see if that has cured it. That cures many electrical glitches on most modern cars.

Hi M,
No change, thanks.

I have a Corolla, but that link says all inf relates to U.S vehicles only. My car is not a U.S model.:(

When i worked for Rover years ago we had to remove the radio to see the serial number of the unit then phone rover for the code.
If battery goes flat you will need to enter radio code as far as the radio knows it could have been stolen from the car so that's why asking for code
I would phone Toyota customer service for help is this matter

Hi,
I was warned by Toyota tech, not to exeed the 20 enter code attempts, so I stopped leaving 12.
I took it to the big flash local service centre, and they must have exeeded the 20, and now it's broken and this is major, and then charged me £90 for the privalege.
We are not amused :(
