Treating untreated wood?

Hey all

So got a load of great pallet wood from work but looking at it, it looks like untreated wood.

I plan to use the wood for a log store & as I have decking I want to keep this pallet wood as natural looking as possible so that blends in.

My question is what would you do to the wood so it remains natural looking but as protected from the elements as possible?

I was thinking about putting a clear wood preserve:

Then applying something like this water seal:

Is this the best way or are there other better options?

I found the Thompsons excellent at waterproofing timber.
Dismantled a timber shed I had used it on and the ground timbers were untouched by moisture 10 years later.

Thanks will probably go for THompsons.

I will probably use all over the log store I am building.
One other question

Can you apply something like decking oil over the top of thompsons waterproofing?

Thanks

Oil needs to penetrate so water seal will also prevent oil being absorbed.

So the options are waterproofing or oiling not both?

If that is the case then I might go for the oiling option as it will match the decking I also have. Just worries about the longevity of the bits of wood at the base of the log store / pallets.
