I have a Triton Jade 3 electric shower which is about 2.5 years old.

This week i noticed cold water dripping out of the bottom of the unit while the shower was running but today while the shower was running, i couldn't turn it off.....pressing the on/off button did nothing. I had to turn the shower off at the mains.

I have spoken to Triton and they want £99 to get an engineer out inc parts but if it's possible to do it myself i'd rather save some money.

Any ideas on what could be causing both these issues?

turned it off at the power mains.

No water continued to run after the power had been turned off but once turning the power back on, water started to run again.

I've looked at the fault finding in the manual and it suggest the PRD needed to be replaced and the on/off switch.

The prd could be the fault in the leaking water, that won't cause the shower to not turn off unless the water is spraying up inside shower unit.

The on/off switch maybe faulty but is more likely just soaked in water.
Remove the cover and see if it's soaked in water you can also try the shower to see where the leak is.
Could be a few places the waters coming from, the prd should have a tube onit so the water releases from shower not in it.
