Hi there,

Forgive me if i have posted this in the wrong place.

I have a rapide 1 that has worked fine for about 3 years, how ever over the past week or so it has developed a problem. :?

I get in the shower and all is well for about 10 mins ish after that the temp goes cold, there is no loss of water pressure or anything out of the norm, just goes stone cold, does anyone have any idea's ? :?

help would be greatly appriciated

Kind regards

Tony

="seco services"

what happens then ?
does it cycle hot/cold ?
do you turn the shower off and then its hot again when next used ?

Hi thanks for the reply.
when it goes cold i tend to get out due to shivering lol, the next time i use it it is fine to start then goes cold, turn off, next time ok to start then goes cold etc etc, always seems to be ok the next time it it used

next time you try it leave it on when it gos cold it should go hot again after about 1 min.

let us know as it can be a different fault to staying cold.

Well got home from work, jumped in the shower and all good, was in there 15 mins and stayed hot, after getting out i left the shower on for a further 10 mins to see if it went cold and it didnt, this is what happens sometimes, its fine for a couple of days then it goes again, once it does go cold i will see if it goes hot again or stays cold, cant really answer you question untill it happens again

thanks for you help

ok here goes this is what is happening.

turn shower on to number 4 (1 being cold 10 being very hot)

shower runs ok on this setting for a time then goes cold (no loss of pressure) if i turn the shower up to number 8 or 9 then the shower is warm again but then because of turning it up this high then i get loss of pressure this then stays on number 8 or 9 untill finished having a shower, the next time i turn it on i start at number 4 again then goes cold turn up to 8 or 9 etc etc

hope this helps you to help me

regards

Tony

ok tonight when i had a shower it was hot for about 5 mins or so, when cold (no loss of pressure) for a couple of mins and with out me touching it just decided to go hot again.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it ?

tony

run it without the shower head.
if the same clean inlet filter.

if not we go onto next stage.
its not a constant problem so can be a number of issues.
