Triton shower won't stop flowing

My Triton 3 Rapide won't switch off. When I turn it off on the unit the water keeps flowing and the 'on' light doesn't switch off. Even when I pull the cord it still flows, cold. I've had to turn off the mains water to stop it.

Is it worth replacing the solenoid valve? The shower is 5 years old.

Any advice appreciated.

change the solenoid valve.

you can check it with a multi meter for resistance for a reading of 3.4 kohms.
