What do you see as a sensible deal? Personally I can't see any deal that would be acceptable to both sides. The emergence of a new Govt in Iran would be a game changer but we're a little way off that yet.

Give up the nuclear program, sort out the proxies, guarantee the Hormuzz straits, in return lifting sanctions. But a country has got to be able to defend itself. The problem is none of the main countries involved have leaderships that can in any way be described as moderate.

All of the Iranian strikes so far to its neighbours are those that are housing US airbases and are allowing US strikes from them. The US housing its equipment are shocked that Iran has the capability of hitting this weaponary from a 1000km distance and destroying the US umbrella of safety.
