Hi, please can someone identify the type of pipe in the installation shown in the two pics I have attached.

I can tell it isn't Hep pipe but my next question is can I use hep fittings so long as I use the steel inserts as I am wanting to extend the hot and cold.

How do you know it's not Hep? Hep was grey. Any markings on the pipe? Some older Hep fittings have been used. Others could be tectite
 
To be fair I don't I'm just presuming it's not because the fittings are copper.
It was installed about 15 years ago when we moved in and had the new bathroom fitted.
I can't see any writing on the exposed pipes.
