On a cut roof construction, how do a choose between strapping the wall plates to the walls using L shaped straps, or strapping the rafters and joists feet to the wall using twist straps, or should I do both?
Depends on the uplift on the roof and how much masonry you need to mobilise to keep it from flying away in a storm.. But choice between L and twists as described should be down to fixing of rafters to wall plate.. and if thats adequate to transfer uplift load..
