Indeed - in fact recently done a few where a couple of rooms had two stats because it was mahooooosive.

Because when warming from cold it warms at max set flow temperature until turned down by the room stat.
If thats not an intelligent one then it will seriously overshoot.
With W/C the flow temp be will be reduced.

Yes, thats why the intelligent controllers reduce the flow temp when the room is approaching the set temp.
The heat input is a concrete floor is below the surface and merely turning it off will still result in additional heat being provided.
Even the old room stats used with rads had a heat anticipator to prevent overshoot!
