Hello,

I am unable to remove a locking nut from a bolt, it turns with the bolt when I try to remove the nut. the bolt has a circular flat head and is wedged in plastic so is quite difficult to reach and impossible to stop turning, I have tried with a wrench and a locking plier to hold it in place while I turn it but no luck.

its driving me crazy. any help would be great!

thanks guys[/quote]

if there's room to put the hacksaw blade under the nut, and not damage the thing it is fixed to, do that. You may have to use a loose blade and hold the end in a rag.

or you can cut down the end of the bolt. Eventually you will split the nut in half and the two halves will fall off. This can be easier if you have a dremel.

tell us what size it is, and what the thing is you are working on, and how much working room you have.
