I'm planning over a weekend to refit a bathroom stud wall with Moisture board and and use Aquapanel in areas above the back and side of the bath (over bath shower to fit).

I'm not sure I'll get these walls covered(tiled/painted) before other half wants to use the bathroom for the week days and I'm wondering if its ok to use the bathroom while these boards are un-protected.

Will the steam in the bathroom be an issue if they are left uncovered for a week?

Thanks

You'll be safe enough using the bathroom. Open the window a little, that'll help, but there's no way you will damage the plasterboard in the short term. If you left it for months, and it got really wet, then that would be different, but a couple of weeks or so,, no problem.

Thanks for the info. Will hopefully get it all coverd with paint and tiles within a couple of weekends.

Am considering not skimming the MR board but just taping & filling the joints/corners. Am I ok to paint direct with a decent bathroom paint?
