Hi, I'm in the process of building my dream house and have decided to have underfloor heating installed. However, I have been receiving conflicting information as to whether UFH is actually viable. The house is going to be timber joist construction. The systems I am looking at will install the pipes between the joists and then chipboard and then the solid wood flooring. My worry is that the chipboard will be 22mm and the solid wood flooring will be 28mm if i remember correctly so will the heat be able to get through? The companies I have spoken to say this will not be a problem but they would say that trying to get a sale.
Has anyone had similar systems installed and if so did it work out okay?
Any advice/recommendations appreciated.
