Hi,
Forgive me if this is a daft question but is it necessary or advantageous to have tiles over a concrete floor before laying carpets?
Look at my photo: A lot of the original tiles broke when pulled up to re-route CH pipes and also many are broken where the carpet grippers have been nailed through them and subsequently pulled up.
Is there any point to putting new tiles down before new carpets? It's going to be easier to remove the remaining tiles.
Maybe tiles were only fitted when the house was new in lieu of purchasers having carpets fitted?
