Hi

I have just lifted a bedroom carpet and need to replace the underlay before the new carpet arrives a week on Saturday. The existing underaly was not taped along the joints anywhere (apart from a strip of double sided tape about a foot from the wall behind the bed, but not along a join in the underlay).

So, what I want to know is, how necessary is it to tape the joins? I plan to use Cloud 9 Cirrus underlay and the room dimensions are approx 4.5m x 5.5m

Thanks,

John

if you have no dust marks from where the joints on the old underlay was then you dont need to tape, However it is good practise to tape them with the correct tape.
