Hi there,

I came across a type of screw that I’m not familiar with. It’s to attach an arm test to an old chair.
The screw it’s self is attached to the arm but there is another part which goes underneath (that which I’m holding in photo) which has the corresponding thread inside the hollow barrel.
Any idea how to find a replacement and what it’s called so I can search for it?
Thanks!
Tom

Binder screw. What size is the thread? Can the head of the replacement binder screw be bigger than the old one? Have you lost one presumably?

Sleeve nut.

Most often used in door handles

You will find lots on Ebay

Sometimes called bed nuts or furniture nuts
The male part is a screw, the female part is a nut.

Example

Steel ones are stronger
