When installing an unvented cylinder do most tend to use balanced cold for all cold outlets including the kitchen sink tap? So take the cold mains straight to the cylinder and the back to all cold water outlets including the kitchen sink from the tee for balanced cold on the composite valve. Or is it standard to feed the kitchen tap straight off cold mains as this is were the cold main usually enters the building then go to the cylinder and take all over supplies off balanced cold? If the kitchen tap is dual flow this wont be a problem? Thanks for any input.

Ideally you’d want balanced cold at all outlets where you have mixers for hot and cold... this way the lever of any mixers should just be able to be left in the centre of its arc and just lifted up to provide the perfect mix of hot and cold at the right temp. If your kitchen sink has separate taps then it doesn’t need to be off the balanced cold. Outside taps are also better off direct from mains.
If installing a water softener then it’s also good practice to run non-softened water to each basin in the house.
