Hi all,
We have a Vaillant unistor unvented 200l HW cylinder with a temperature sensor installed as per photos. This in turn is wired to our ASHP and via the controls we can obviously see what temperature the cylinder is currently at on the display.
This has been working perfectly since installed a few months ago, until recently. First I noticed something was wrong was a few days ago when showering and it was colder- despite the temp sensor cylinder reading being max which is set at 45. What I have also noticed is that after a shower, it had ordinarily been decreasing sharply as one might expect so for example one shower and it would go from 45 to 30C, triggering reheat etc. Now after a shower, taking into account we are using even more HW as it is blended with less cold, it will drop from 45 to 44/43. I've measured the temperature of the water at one of the taps and it is around 40. Thus, something is evidently wrong.
Can anyone advise any potential steps I could take to problem-solve further? Is it likely to be the sensor? Does this just unscrew or do I need to drain everything down?
Any advice appreciated.
