Hi if exiting an unvented discharge pipe on to a roof capable of withstanding the heat and 3 meters from any guttering. Should the pipe be elbowed down on the the roof or just left sicking out on the roof?

the temperature and pressure relief discharge from an unvented cylinder can as long as its capable of withstanding the heat the water could be so a metal sheeted roof is fine

makes sense to elbow it down

I have seen a few discharging onto a flat felted roof.

It may not be strictly to the regs but its really safer because no one is going to be hanging around there.

In any case a flat roof can reach about 100C in the sun!
