I've currently got a Baxi floor standing boiler (not condensing) which has never missed a beat and if possible, I would like to keep it. I've already updated my CH control system with TRVs and a wireless programmable room stat and I now intend to install a pressurised DHW system. The only problem I can see is that the supply from the boiler to the cylinder must be pumped which leads me to my question... where to fit the pump?
My boiler is in the garage and my new cylinder will be in the airing cupboard where the existing one is now.
The expansion pipe for the system is adjacent to the cylinder (on the hot feed from the boiler) and the feed from the F & E cistern is on the cold return to the boiler (again, adjacent to the cylinder).
Is it OK for me to put the pump on the cold return near the boiler?
Many thanks.
