Anyone got any ideas for cleaning the arms and backing of a beige settee. Our warranty finished, so we put the seat covers in the washing machine and they came out very good as if they were new.

However, the arms and backing are not detachable. They are like a towelling material.

Has anyone used anything that you feel would be good to try??

Regards

Hi,

I have had success in the past with one of these Rug-Doctor things that you can hire from DIY stores. They come with a hand held attachment that should do the job. A steam cleaner would probably work too.

Might be worth trying some of that foam upholstery cleaner that you will get in car stores. I find it doesn't really penetrate so well as the Rug-Doctor though.

Good luck :)
