We have a window that gets a severe wind and rain lashing. I found that water would be forced around the DG rubber seals and past the snap fit mitre pieces.
I snapped out the trims and cleaned the channels. Then I saw that on the outside, algae had got between the rubber seals and the glass, this was allowing water to pass into the channel and through the other side. I gave it a basic clean.
When the weather gets better I'd like to take out the unit and give the seals a good clean.
I am wondering if there is any product that will create a really good seal between glass and the rubber?
Something like silicone, but maybe not, that could be smeared on the surfaces before reassembly.

Actually the seals arent the problem, they are designed to leak.

What you need to do is clear the drainage holes in the bottom rail.

If you look in the glass rebate, you will see the profile is grooved, and in the bottom rail the groove will have drainage holes.
